Hello! I am Huaqing Wang, a researcher of urban greenspace and human health and a teacher of landscape and city planning. I currently work as an Assistant Professor of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at the Utah State University. Before joining USU, I was a lecturer at Texas A&M University, and a lab manager in the Urban Environments & Human Health Lab at The University of Hong Kong. With degrees in landscape architecture as well as urban and regional sciences, I conduct both individual level environmental psychology studies and population level epidemiological research to examine urban greenspace and human health relationships. My ultimate goal is to explore effective urban greenspace plan and design interventions to prevent the development and progression of non-communicable diseases. Primary research agendas include:
